A utopia?

"As August 2026 draws to a close, the Pope reminds us of the beauty of the world: Enne is not a 'utopia.'And yet, one need only set sail, immerse oneself in the world, to fear being swept off course by headwinds that blow against the gift of self—reducing it to naivety—and against forgiveness—dismissing it as weakness. From Lake Albano in Italy, the Pope takes us back to the Sea of Tiberias, where, in the midst of the storm, Jesus accomplishes something seemingly utopian, yet concrete: He walks on the water and exhorts us “to have faith and to pray, so that we may find peace and continue sailing toward our desired destination.” The path of love is the path of life. Only love saves. The Pope asks us to sow the seeds of “this infinite charity.” As Saint Augustine taught, “the joy of the reaper bears witness to the intention of the sower.” Unfortunately, not everyone grasps the beauty and reality of this dream of the Creator; many even consider it a utopia. Turning the other cheek, they say, is a sign of weakness. Even Peter had trouble accepting this new way of thinking. Jesus remains categorical: only the path of love is the path of life.”
