Who we are
Tibériade is an association under the law of 1901 founded by two lay people, Alice Renaux and Laurent Carcélès in 1988.
Tibériade owes its existence to Alice Renaux, who was President until her death in 2006. Right up to the last day, she gave all her time and energy to the Mission, making the association what it is today.
Our principles
Tiberiade joins forces with the Universal Mission Workers,
those who live the Gospel and proclaim it throughout the world.
By helping them, we want to let them know they're not alone,
that a long chain of solidarity accompanies them.
We also fortify new churches. Without indispensable support,
the seeds sown by generations of missionaries could not grow vigorously.
"The missionary character of the Church is not proselytism, but the witness of a life that enlightens the way, brings hope and love. The Church is not an aid organization, a business, an NGO, but a community of people animated by the action of the Holy Spirit, who have lived and are living the astonishment of the encounter with Jesus Christ and wish to share this experience of profound joy, to share the message of salvation that the Lord has brought us. It is precisely the Holy Spirit who leads the Church along this path. I would like to encourage you all to become bearers of the Good News of Christ. Pope Francis
