separate the good information from the bad
"Dear brother, this Vatican News initiative is a tool for evangelization; it offers the opportunity to create links and exchange resources between Rome and the Church in your country. It is a way for your parishes and communities to obtain information directly from the source." These are the words written by Pope Francis in a note to bishops around the world, inviting them to share the new Vatican News video widget, a tool that allows diocesan, parish, and Catholic association and organization websites to receive free videos and news about the Pope and the Holy See. This means that people visiting diocesan or parish web pages from a computer, tablet, or smartphone will always be informed of the latest news concerning the teachings and activities of the Bishop of Rome and will be able to share content about the Pope in their own language on social media.
"It would be important for the video widget to be widely distributed on as many websites as possible, in order to highlight the link with the Bishop of Rome,"says Paolo Ruffini, Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication,"because it is a valuable tool for evangelization."
"The dissemination of this new tool,"continues Andrea Tornielli, editorial director of Vatican Media,"can help combat the phenomenon of fake news by providing immediate access to the original source of information and texts, as the Holy Father emphasized in his message supporting this initiative."
The Tiberias website is therefore firmly behind this Vatican initiative.
This widget will be introduced on our website soon.
