Magnificat

The Magnificat: “The song of those who see reality through God’s eyes and who, for this reason, do not lose hope and act in charity.” Pope’s Angelus, August 16, 2026

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! He has looked with favor on his humble servant; from now on, all generations will call me blessed.

The Mighty One has done wonders for me; Holy is His name!

His mercy endures from generation to generation toward those who fear him.

With the strength of his arm, he scatters the proud. He brings down the mighty from their thrones and lifts up the lowly.

He fills the hungry with good things, but sends the rich away empty-handed.

He has raised up Israel, his servant; he has remembered his love, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham andhis descendants, forever.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.
